THE KISS

I write from the soul, a Christian point of view.  As my quote on my Facebook page states: AMBULAVI IN MIRABILIBUS SUPRA ME -- C. S. Lewis. I walk in miracles beyond myself.  And "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen - not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." - C. S. Lewis.  I don't know everything, for certain. And I believe God speaks to everyone in the world in different voices and experiences.  Thus, there is wisdom in all the religions and hallowed beliefs in the world.  Here is a meditation on Psalm 5.  God bless you all, and God certainly does just that!! We walk on sacred ground in this life- breathe sacred air.  We take all experiences here on earth as baby steps in this the kindergarten of the soul.

Psalm 5

THE KISS

Praise God all you who breathe!

God’s kiss is on you all:

Those who love God

and those who don’t.

O Lord, You command me to love your people-

The ungodly all the more.

Cry to them, “Danger! You’re running to Death!”

You forgetful of God, careless you!

Materialist, humanist, whatever –ist:

Are you so seduced by your beloved, Death?

Run to Death, then, run!

Run until you are close enough to smell its stink,

Close enough to see bright, sharp teeth,

Through its fetid lips. Tell me then

What the meaning of all your strivings was!

When Death’s bright, sharp teeth rake you

Tell me then whence is your consolation.

Even then in the teeth of Death,

Bruised and bleeding

God is salve for you.

Salve, salve, salvation!

God’s blood covers your own.

Only in the kiss of God will you find your consolation.

Run to God as though your life depends on it!

Your life depends on God!
